Yes. you can choose what feels best for you. Please note, you must be in CT to receive telehealth appointment from me. Sessions are done over a secure video platform which allows us to have a video session. Looking for a therapist in Colchester or an experienced anxiety therapist in Connecticut? You’re in the right place.

How long are therapy sessions?

Your first appointment is a 55-minute intake session so we can review your paperwork and begin exploring what’s been bringing you stress or anxiety. Ongoing therapy sessions typically last 45 to 55 minutes, depending on your insurance coverage and clinical needs.

What happens during the first therapy session?

We’ll begin by reviewing a few key documents, including my Informed Consent and Financial Agreement. Then, we’ll talk about what brings you in—your symptoms, recent stressors, and what you hope to get out of working with a Colchester counselor like myself. You’ll be met with compassion, not judgment. Many people feel a sense of relief after simply saying things out loud. Click here to read more about what happens at a first therapy appointment.

How often do we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build a strong foundation and address anxiety symptoms consistently. We’ll try to find a regular day and time that works well for your schedule. I want to help you feel better sooner rather than later and to have you reach your therapy goals.

Therapist in Colchester - Do you take insurance?

Great  question! Yes, I’m in-network with several major insurance providers. During your free 15-minute consultation, I’ll collect your insurance details and verify your mental health benefits in advance. That way, you’ll know exactly what’s covered before we start.

Are therapy sessions covered by insurance?

The answers vary with every insurance plan and depending on medical necessity, but typically, yes. Most insurance plans include behavioral health coverage for therapy services, especially when symptoms are interfering with daily life. As a Colchester therapist, I’ll help guide you through the process so you understand your financial responsibility upfront. Generally, there is either a co-pay, deductible, or co-insurance payment that you would be responsible for.  If you decide you are ready to schedule a 15-minute consultation call, please have your insurance card ready so I can also verify your benefits and inform you what the financial responsibility is.  No one likes a surprise bill, so it is better to find out before coming in.

Colchester Therapist - Where do sessions take place?

I provide both telehealth appointments and in person appointments. My office is located at 7 Park Avenue in the heart of Colchester, CT. Free parking is available in the lot just outside the building. If you prefer online sessions, I provide secure telehealth counseling for clients throughout Connecticut. Whether you’re seeking a counselor in Colchester or a virtual anxiety therapist in Connecticut, I’m here to support you.

Who do you work with?

I specialize in working with adults (18+) who are dealing with anxiety, panic attacks, or chronic stress.
Many of my clients feel like they’re always “on,” constantly overthinking, or trying to hold everything together. They’re ready for more than just coping skills—they want to understand what’s really driving their anxiety and how to shift it.
As I only work with adults, appointments can only be made by the person seeking therapy for themselves (ex. you cannot schedule an appointment for someone else). If you’re searching for a Colchester therapist or an anxiety counselor in Connecticut, I’d be honored to support you.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a $60 fee, which cannot be billed to insurance. I hold this policy with compassion and respect—for both your time and mine.
